A romantic wedding by the sea at Castello Canevaro: Lara & Roberto’s elegant celebration- June 2024

Some weddings are simply unforgettable — not because of extravagance, but because of the pure love, joy, and connection that fill every moment. Lara and Roberto’s wedding at Castello Canevaro in Zoagli was exactly that: a heartfelt celebration of love, family, and timeless elegance in one of the most breathtaking corners of Liguria.

Perched above the sea with sweeping views of the Ligurian coastline, Castello Canevaro offered the perfect backdrop for this special day. The charming village of Zoagli, nestled between Portofino and Cinque Terre, is known for its peaceful beauty — colorful homes clinging to the hills, the scent of the sea in the air, and sunsets that seem painted just for you. It’s a place where time slows down, and love stories unfold naturally.

Lara and Roberto chose to say "I do" in the presence of their closest friends and family — and most importantly, their two adorable daughters, who added an extra touch of sweetness to the day. Even the family’s beloved dog had a special role, making the celebration feel truly complete and deeply personal.

I had the immense honor not only of coordinating this magical event, but also of officiating the ceremony — a deeply emotional moment held just steps from the sea. Under a delicate arch of white flowers, with the sound of waves gently crashing below, the couple exchanged their vows. It was an intimate and unforgettable scene: pure love, surrounded by nature, under the warm June sun.

After the ceremony, guests were welcomed to an elegant aperitivo on the castle’s panoramic terrace overlooking Zoagli. As golden hour approached, everyone enjoyed classic Ligurian delights: focaccia genovese, fresh local cheeses, and of course, the region’s world-famous pesto. It was a moment of sharing, laughter, and savoring the flavors of the land.

Dinner was served in the castle’s garden, which opens directly onto the sea. A long imperial table was set with crisp linens, white roses, and crystal chandeliers suspended above — a scene straight out of a romantic film. As the stars came out and the soft sea breeze danced through the trees, guests dined under the summer sky in an atmosphere that was both refined and relaxed.
